Stem Cell Apheresis at Elysium utilises preparations of small pluripotent stem cells (SPSC) that have been independently characterised by flow cytometry. Analysis confirms consistent expression of the core pluripotency-associated markers SSEA-4, OCT4 and SOX2 across preparations. Within the 1–5 µm size fraction most relevant to therapeutic application, approximately 17.6 % of cells express SSEA-4 and 12.2 % demonstrate simultaneous positivity for all three markers, a stringent indicator of pluripotency.
OCT4 and SOX2 expression remains high (96–98 %) across both smaller and larger particles, while surface marker positivity and triple-positive cells are enriched within the target size range. All assessments are performed on viable cells, with material further benchmarked against commercial umbilical cord blood stem cell preparations.
This level of characterisation supports the use of SPSC as a biologically relevant cell population for regenerative support. The apheresis-based delivery method allows these cells to be introduced in a minimally processed, viable state as part of a broader personalised programme focused on tissue repair capacity and long-term physiological resilience.
