About the treatment

Lipid Apheresis

Lipid apheresis removes LDL cholesterol and lipoprotein(a) directly from the bloodstream. It is indicated when statins and lifestyle changes cannot achieve target lipid levels.

How It Works

Blood is processed through a selective filter that captures LDL particles and Lp(a) while returning HDL, albumin, and other beneficial components.

Indications

Familial hypercholesterolaemia, elevated lipoprotein(a), statin intolerance, and high cardiovascular risk despite maximal medical therapy.

The Elysium Protocol

Comprehensive lipid panel and cardiovascular risk assessment before first session. Ongoing treatment frequency adjusted to maintain target levels.

  • Immediate LDL reduction of 60–75%
  • Effective for Lp(a) reduction
  • Fortnightly or monthly sessions
  • Cardiovascular biomarker tracking
  • Integrated longevity monitoring
